What is Vesicare?
Vesicare is used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder, such as frequent or urgent urination, and incontinence (urine leakage).
What precaution should be taken before taking Vesicare?
Avoid this medicine in case of untreated or uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma, a blockage in the digestive tract (stomach or intestines), or unable to urinate.
How should Vesicare be taken?
Follow all directions on the prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed. Vesicare is usually taken once per day with or without food. Follow the doctor's instructions.
What other drugs will affect Vesicare?
Sometimes it is not safe to use certain medications at the same time. Some drugs can affect the blood levels of other drugs, which may increase side effects or make the medications less effective. What should be avoided while taking Vesicare?
Avoid driving or hazardous activity. These reactions could be impaired. Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather. Vesicare can decrease perspiration and it may increase risk of heat stroke.
