What is Artane?
Artane alters unusual nerve impulses and relaxes stiff muscles. Artane is used to treat the stiffness, tremors, spasms, and poor muscle control of Parkinson's disease.
How should Artane be consumed?
Take Artane exactly as directed by your doctor. To ensure and get a correct dose, measure the liquid form with a special dose-measuring spoon or cup, not with a regular table spoon.
How much to take Artane?
The starting dose is usually 1mg on the first day. The dose may then be increased by 2 mg at a time every three to five days until a total dose of 6 to 10 mg is taken daily.
What should be avoid while consuming Artane?
Artane may cause dizziness or blurred vision. If you experience dizziness or blurred vision, avoid certain activities.
What other drugs shall affect Artane?
Using Artane with other drugs shall make drowsy and worsen the effects. Ask doctor before using opioid medication, a sleeping pill, a muscle relaxer, or medicine for anxiety or seizures.
